To forever mark the lives of kids with Real. Crazy. Love.

In the early 2010's, I went on a small mission trip over spring break to a little place in Detroit called Hope House Detroit. Not only did it transform me and my faith, it lead to years of returning to meet kids where they were at in the city. I even got to be the House Director for over a year! Through this little house in Detroit, kids learn to read, play safely, meet adults who care about their well being and get the chance to encounter Jesus in the lives of those who live there. I consider the work I got to do here among the most important I've ever done. In returning for an event in the summer of 2025, I met the same boy I had mentored in my time there in 2015. He is still returning to HHD to this day.

So Please join me in supporting Hope House Detroit’s Growing Together campaign as they boldly step into a new chapter of relational ministry, where every kid is seen, known, loved, and believed in, and given the space to grow. Your support will strengthen mentoring programs, expand leadership development, deepen our presence at Essex, and add dedicated staff who can walk alongside kids with consistency, love, and care. Every gift, no matter the size, directly fuels one-on-one mentoring, after-school programs, family support, spiritual formation, and joy-filled moments where kids simply get to be kids.
